its been a week. ever since i started working. and working aint as fun as i thought of it to be. it sucks to the core. it made me realise how great it is to be studying instead of slogging my youth to earn those miserable salary. aww..man. my leg hurt and that is fuckingly crappy.

life has been rather fine, just that work has drain me dry. but then, at least i spend my time meaningfully. its all about the money and hell yea..i cant wait to get my pay. my fees are coming real soon. ass-craps

Also known as the "Full Moon Festival," the Mid-Autumn festival falls on the fifteen day of the eighth lunar month. At this time, the moon's orbit is at its lowest angle to the horizon, making the moon appear brighter and larger than any other time of the year. In the Western tradition, it is also called the Hunter's Moon or Harvest Moon. According to the lunar calendar, it is also the exact middle of autumn (which begins in the seventh month and ends in the ninth).

To the Chinese, this festival is similar to the American Thanksgiving holiday, celebrating a bountiful harvest. Compared to many Chinese festivals that are inundated with vibrant colors and sounds, the Mid-Autumn festival remains more subdued. Traditionally celebrated outdoors under the moonlight, people eat moon cakes and gaze at the moon. In modern times, barbecues with families and friends are also common.

Legendary Origins
Like most Chinese holidays, the mid-autumn festival is rich in oral history and legend. According to stories, Hou Yi was a tyrannical ruler who won the elixir of immortality by shooting 9 suns out of the sky with his bow. But his wife, knowing that the people's lives would remain miserable for all eternity if Hou Yi lived forever, drank the potion. The fluids made her lighter, and she floated up into the moon. Even today, Chinese like to think of the moon as home of Chang E.

A Historical Anecdote
The Mongol Hordes of Ghengis Khan subjugated the Chinese, and established the Yuan Dynasty in the 13th Century. However, many Chinese resented the fact that they were ruled by a foreign regime. In the 14th Century, Liu Bouwen helped plot the overthrow of the Yuan Dynasty by organizing resistance. Secret messages were passed along in mooncakes.

Mooncakes
The ubiquitous fare at any Chinese celebration of the Full Moon festival, mooncakes are a flaked pastry stuffed with a wide variety of fillings. Egg Yolk, lotus seed paste, red bean paste, and coconut are common, but walnuts, dates, and other fillings can be found as well. Most have characters for longevity or harmony inscribed on the top. Special cakes can reach almost one foot in diameter

its so boring. i spend most of my time doing kiddy stuff --- Neopets. wahaha...i am bored and that do take up alot of time. spend time helping my mum do the housework. and duh! i need to get a job. i am freakingly bored and that is like shit, i can tell you.

too lazy to do my blog nor change the blogskin. cause i am happy with the layout and stuff. and thanks to my cousin, its done up properly and way better than mine. kudos to her for the great job done. yeah~ which is one of the reason why i chose not to change the blogskin. it took my cousin alot of time, well...her sleep time, slogging to get my blog such wonderful setting.

my results will out in 25 days, 600 hours, 36000 minutes, 2160000 seconds. therefore, i do pray that i can do well. though i dont have much faith in my electrical technology paper. and the math paper was a disappointment, i made a handful of mistakes. shucks. bloody freakxx....

i miss my frenz --- shuxian, yuanee, casilda --- ahh..its boring. i dont know what to do le. it sucks like shit. hur hur. i am pigging myself out and watching tv and facing the computer 24/7. unhealthy, but then, its the only way i can spend time.

i am so relieved now that i have cleared both IN & OS. woo hoo..it so good knowing that i have passed. wasnt in a good mood today. apparantly i wasnt feeling very good. i vomited my breakfast. maybe it was something i ate....wait, or maybe it was something i drank? oh well.... whatever.

didnt went back to unity today. chose not to as i need to mug for IN. though my results wont at my expection. i passed. period! :D. life is sweet, when things go your way. anyways, my mathematics and electrical technology exams are next friday and saturday. wonderful eh? well... shucks. its back to more mugging and burning the midnight oil. oh bother.
